The History

Garfield's Crossing was created after the Civil War from the husks of dying towns into the bustling village that it is today.  Where there were once open fields and dirt roads, now there are shops and restaurants where tourists from all over come to get a taste of this eclectic little mountain town.

People in the region sometimes call it "The City Shaped Like A Hatchet."  The business district has been nicknamed "the handle" and the residential area is often called "the blade."
